A jam-packed weekend of racing, first in the Elite race at the day long cyclocross festival otherwise known as Rapha Super Cross (Alexandra Palace, London) followed by the second round of the National Cyclocross Trophy Series in Southampton.
A great start and lovely weather made today's race in the picturesque grounds of Escot Park. Poor fueling let me down towards the end, but new skills were learnt and the billion run-ups were perfect conditioning for next week's Ally Pally.
It's coming up for the start of the cyclocross season so it's time for me to start sharpening up my 'cross specific skills. This time I focus on remounting.

After a slow start I warm to the muddy conditions and set some respectable lap times. I also jump over a tree trunk and my front wheel disappears into a mud swamp.
