A great start and lovely weather made today's race in the picturesque grounds of Escot Park. Poor fueling let me down towards the end, but new skills were learnt and the billion run-ups were perfect conditioning for next week's Ally Pally.

National Trophy Round 1: Shrewsbury
My first National Trophy event! As the mist cleared around a Shrewsbury sports park I had my first taste of national level cyclocross. It's a big step up!

A busy weekend sees me travel up to Birmingham to take part in my first national level event at the Cycle Show. Despite less than super public transport I have an enjoyable race and catch up with bike people!
