Round seven of the South West Women’s Race Series dawned warm and sunny – just what we needed after what seemed like unending rain at every race we’ve been to just lately!
Now in its second year, the Seaton Cycle Fest takes place in the South Devon seaside town and takes in a great technical course, including a sharp climb up from the sea line, twisty, off camber back streets, a dead 180 hairpin and finally a long finishing straight along the seafront.
We had Jenny Corser, Jenny Bolsom and Hannah Newsham flying the Team RGB Building Supplies flag at today’s event and we were looking to protect JC’s overall series lead, and JB’s novice category lead.

Here's @jenny_bolsom putting the power down at Seaton Cycle Fest last week 💪💪💪 . 📸 @ppauk . . #womenscycling#fromwhereiride#roadslikethese#devongirlscan#thisgirlcan#womenonbikes#cyclelikeagirl#wymtm#stravacycling#lifebehindbars#instabike#ukcyclechat#outsideisfree#cyclinglife#womeninsport#cycling#velo#BuildingPerformance
After some fearsome rding, Hannah got away in the race winning break and held out for the win. Jenny Corser came home safely just outside the podium places in fourth and Jenny Bolsom also had a great ride. Both did enough to consolidate their positions in the series standings so it was a very successful day out on all fronts!
To wrap a great day on the bike, our girls celebrated with a quick dip in the sea!
