Cold, very wet and windy. I wanted to stay in bed.
Rode over gently with team mates (1hr30)and was tired by the time we arrived at Hog Hill.
I didn’t realise I wouldn’t be allowed to race with mudguards on so I had to cut them off quickly before the race started.
I started badly and joined a small bunch at the back of the field. My bunch lost the rest of the field within the first lap. I attempted to cross over but didn’t have the strength and ended up riding most of the race on my own.
Some of the leaders lapped me, and as they did I jumped behind them for as long as I could.
By the end of the race I was really cold and slow.
Not the best race ever. Here’s a video by LondonCycleSport
Yes the weather was horrid fair play for making an effort and racing after the journey you had.
